Setting a high standard for climate change and sustainability for a global wine supplier - without adverse cost implications

As a global wine supplier this client was well aware of the need to address the challenge of climate change. Their focus? To understand the carbon emissions associated with the lifecycle of its products and the potential to reduce its carbon footprint through supply chain interventions.

Applying LCP's Carbon-to-Serve+I50 methodology a comprehensive end-to-end supply chain evaluation was completed, with full transparency that allowed for sensitivity analysis and scenario modelling, enabling the client to understand where to achieve substantial impact and the level of investment that may be implied.

The result?  Business partners were engaged in establishing a programme to reduce emmissions through alternative shipping and packaging options, supporting short and long-term sustainability goals, driving further operational cost savings.
