LCP’s research on supply chain vulnerability with Cranfield University showed many organisations fail to recognise the supply chain risks associated with sub-optimal DC design and performance. As well as a number of high profile DC failures, we see countless examples that are causing supply chain under-performance both in service and cost terms.
This under-performance can often be remedied without resort to major investments - improving processes, implementing appropriate KPIs and retraining operatives can deliver significant sustainable benefit rapidly.
