Martin Christopher Receives Award

Martin Christopher has been honoured with the Council of Supply Chain Management Professional’s 2005 Distinguished Service Award

LCP is delighted to congratulate Martin Christopher for the recognition that he deserves through this award. He is the first person outside North America to be so honoured.

Martin is a non-Executive Director of LCP Consulting and has contributed to the development of LCP over the last 20 years. The CSCMP citation reads:

Dr. Martin Graham Christopher, professor of marketing and logistics at the Cranfield School of Management at Cranfield University in the United Kingdom, will receive the Council of Supply Chain Management Professional’s 2005 Distinguished Service Award at a special ceremony on October 24 at the CSCMP’s Annual Conference in San Diego.

“The CSCMP presents the DSA annually to an individual who has made significant contributions to the art and science of logistics management. The award is the highest honour that can be bestowed on an individual for achievement in supply chain management and logistics . . . . . The focus of his work over his distinguished career has been on the interface between marketing and logistics and the impact of industry globalization on logistics.

Martin’s contribution to the supply chain management and logistics professions has been sustained, imaginative, cosmopolitan and effective in the practical world of creating wealth”
