U-TURN is an innovation project under the Horizon 2020 programme focused on evaluating and developing sustainable innovative solutions for urban food logistics. Our work is about finding new models that address demographic and social trends as well as supporting EU Environmental, Air quality, Safety and Mobility Policies.
The workshop will focus on Grocery E-Commerce last mile fulfilment – and the objective is to:
- Provide you valuable insight from the research
- Create multi point discussions about the issues and options in the market place
- Understand the relative position of different players — a great opportunity to network
- Identify the long term opportunities and barriers that exist

About Alan
Alan is a Visiting Professor at Cranfield University where he contributes to research and teaching. In the last ten years he has taken a particular interest in freight transport sustainability and the implications for policy and investment.
He was the lead author of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport’s – Freight Vision 2035 and has recently worked on urban logistics development. He is also the Chairman of LCP Consulting, an award winning supply chain and logistics consultancy.
