Transforming supply chain and manufacturing operations to reduce the 'contact-to-cash' cycles and underlying Cost-to-Serve® with phenomenal results
LCP undertook an intense deep dive into the end-to-end systems and processes of global manufacturing business - Edwards - combined with thorough profiling which revealed a serious misalignment between supply and the market expectations, which drove inefficiencies, inconsistencies and a low overall supply chain performance.
Working with a broad client team (encompassing sales through to production and purchasing), a new operating model was defined that would deliver product in market, country and sector, and deliver competitive lead times, irrespective of production source. The future processes, rules, KPIs, roles and responsibilities for the whole operations organisation were specified.
A global solution was implemented in less than a year that enabled the introduction of competitive market lead times, whilst increasing supply chain performance and reducing Cost-to-Serve®. A truly integrated supply chain process resulted, delivering phenomenal customer satisfaction and business performance results.
