Continued Brexit uncertainty to impact supply chains
3 Nov
Today’s High Court ruling means that Parliament must vote on whether the UK can begin the process of leaving the EU.
The government appeal to the Supreme Court is expected next month. From early reports, it is still unclear whether the Government can appeal the case to the European Court of Justice. If the Government accepts the decision, MPs will get a vote on the timing of triggering Article 50, most likely before March.
Following the earlier decision of the prime minister to trigger Article 50 of the EU treaty, before the end of March 2017, we examined some of the implications for your supply chain and outlines actions that businesses should be taking now. We explore some of the most likely Brexit scenarios, describing the impacts, and identifying the key focus areas that businesses should consider in order to build an informed response to Brexit. We also provide a structure to define and understand the risks and implications.
